And this is one of the reasons how we're going to fail as a world and as a country.
The people who should be above the money when making decisions are now, beneath the money. The money does not act with any kind of rationale beyond money.
Therefore, it acts as a kind of snake that eats its own tail, in the end, because it produces bad policy decisions which then produce ill effects in the rest of the world around it.
And, we can experience and test for all of this, simply through systematic observation and data collection.
Just imagine if we were more efficient and effective with our military spending. Just, what we could do with our world if we put that kind of money to civilian purposes first, and then retro-fitted it for the military's sake.
Talk about companies whose owners did not build them by themselves.
Like there ever really was such a beast to begin with.
Oh really?
You're offended by that?
Why not ask your spouses?
Or your friends.
Or your investors (who sometimes happens to be the taxpayers of this country).
Or your customers.
Or any of the technology/infrastructure that you're using to accomplish that?
Welcome to the world in which we are living.
It's a web.
You're apart of it.
You're not getting out of it.
And you do a dis-service to your own self when you neglect/fail/maliciously destroy your own end of the bargain in this arrangement, in purely demonstrable and tangible senses.

Welcome to the world beyond your brain.
And it doesn't really matter if you believe me or not.
Cause it's there.
And you can test for it.
Try it.
And, think about it.
Try it.

He's right.
You didn't really build that.
Not on your own.
And you're a senseless and selfish jerk if you think otherwise.
Think about it.
In
the words of Malcolm Gladwell, in his book "Outliers", (to paraphrase),
the tallest tree in the forest did not become the tallest tree simply
because of its genetic virtues. It was also the one that received
enough sunlight, water and f
ood, was not
stepped on or eaten, and did not get sick or cut down along the way.
All of these external factors contributed to it achieving its full
potential. Without these factors, it wouldn't have become the tallest.
Or, necessarily particularly tall to begin with.
Welcome to the world beyond your brain, and your brain's conceptions, perceptions, hopes, desires, fears, anxieties and concerns.
It's a big place.
And your ego (a production of your brain, I might add), is the only thing about you that's big in it, relative to it.
Grow up and start acting like it.
It's not so bad.
Nothing about it is different really from what it was before you found out exactly how miniscule your greatest efforts really are.
Only you might be.
For better or for worse.
Only you might be.
Good luck.
And, think about it.
Good luck.
