Times change, and you've got to keep up with the changes as they come in the present, lest you be left behind contemplating the past, as we are, in the United States of America.
For the record, this was made possible by the international community's charitable support and economic investment, not through any kind of neo-classical Capitalist experiment that, when placed into practice in Africa, did more harm than good for the continent's health and well being, socially, environmentally and economically.
Would that we would invest in Africa as well, instead of giving them charity that they don't necessarily need. Still, that's not my call, unfortunately.
And, I don't think we have the money to do so at this point, given our obligations here and abroad.
It's just something to think about.
A change in purpose at the World Bank and a change in function at USAID might be in order.
But again, that's jut me.
Think about it.
