On Conquest, Conquorers, and the Threats Beyond the Stars

History is not kind to conquerors. Both to Spanish and Inca alike. Both lost their territorial possessions after only a few hundred years at most. And history, eventually, uncovers the truth behind the conquests, in spite of the difficulties in uncovering it.

It's only a matter of time, I think, before we begin to meet the rest of life in the cosmos beyond our planet.

And I think we should be ready, militarily and socially, to meet that kind of threat from beyond the stars.

Let humanity come together then, and act as one species; one people with one planet. May we begin reaching out into the stars. And may we develop weapons, together, to meet the possible threat of an alien attack/encounter, or some other threat from beyond the stars or from down here, on Earth.
