You know, this is one type of spending that actually does, filter down into the people such that the wealth percolates up throughout the rest of society. Same could be said about food stamps, universal healthcare, education, etc.
Anything that increases the purchasing, investing and saving power of the individual in question.
I just wish we had the sense to not point these weapons at each other, and to instead direct them at a potential common threat from outer space.
Why bother fighting amongst ourselves as a species?
Especially when there could be far scarier and more dangerous things that we likely could encounter along the way.
Are we so arrogant as to think that we're the only life in this cosmos?
Let alone, the only sentient life in the cosmos?
Think about it.
Cause I would really like to know.
