Short answer...
"meh."
There will always be crime.
And while it should not be accepted or tolerated.
It's going to be one of those things that's going to stick around.
The question then becomes how do we effectively deal with it, at the roots of its causes?
Because the gangs and organized crime are, I think, usually just
symptoms of bigger problems within a given society, especially regarding
education and social conditions.
And, to treat the problem,
you should go after the viruses that are causing the disease, rather
than going after the cough that comes from it.
Such is how policy becomes like medicine for the world.
Think about it.
