But seriously, I think there are much greater threats for us to be concentrating on than our neighbors around the world. We've got gigantic universe out there, filled with unknown stuff that we possibly haven't even began to imagine.

And we're arguing over who's king of the hill, like some cheap kid's game on the park.

Silly species.

Sillier brains.

Silly species.

Think about it.

I would propose that we join together with the other major powers of the world and begin preparing for a possible alien encounter, rather than spend our time arguing amongst ourselves as a species. I say this with both seriousness and candor, for our own individual sakes as a species.

I would also propose that we work to make peace with those alien species that we encounter, if they'd be so willing, and treat them with benevolence and kindness in practice, first. Let them be the ones to start the conflicts.

Make a bigger sense of yourself.

Extend it to all the species and, yes, even beyond the species, to "new" life that could be out there.

Evolve.

And enjoy the benefits that you realize from this evolution.
