Wow.
"Social change came before economic change."
Or does economic change sometimes bring social change with it as well?
What about the rise of Capitalism and the burghers in Europe?
Nevermind, you had the Reformation and the general questioning of the
Catholic Church first, before the burghers took over the aristocracy.
Now, I think we're about to see something similar occur here, in the
West, as the Capitalist class continues to drag its feet on dealing with
the problems that it caused, while the rest of the world flounders.
It may not be as Marx predicted it.
It was certainly not time enough.
But there has been a significant social change in the West since the 1960's and '70's.
And, I think that's about to display itself in the economic and political world, very soon (in relative terms).
Possibly within my lifetime.
Possibly in the coming years, depending on what happens in the United States and Europe economically.
And it's only in your brain, I think, that it's not going to happen.
And that the wise person, who wishes to maintain control and power in
this world will adapt to it, rather than fight it, such that they can
see the next day, rather than be killed off in the night that we're
currently in/could be heading in to.
Think about it.
"Social change came before economic change."
I wonder if that's more true than the other way around, or other hypotheses.
Think about it.
